About Pawnee Pride – 100% Pasture-Raised Nebraska Meats
Nestled in Nebraska’s Native Tallgrass Country
Pawnee Pride Meats sits in the rolling hills of Southeastern Nebraska along Turkey Creek in North Central Pawnee County. Our ranch is surrounded by diverse grasslands filled with perennial, native grasses and forbs.
Why Native Prairie Matters
Our management system is designed to build healthy land, clean water, and thriving tallgrass prairie wildlife. Deep-rooted native prairies support richer soils, healthier animals, and more nutrient-dense forage. Those nutrients ultimately transfer into the meat you bring home.
How Pawnee Pride Began
Pawnee Pride Meats was founded by Paul, Cyndie, Hans, Chris, and Karl Rohrbaugh in 1990, about ten years into our family’s farming journey. What began as a diversified farm with multiple crops and livestock evolved as the second generation joined in—bringing a shared passion for great food, grazing animals, and a sustainable, beyond-organic approach.
Our Philosophy: Sustainable, Regenerative, and Family-Driven
Transforming a conventional farm into a direct-to-consumer food enterprise took decades—30+ years of land stewardship, a three-generation heritage in the meat business, public service, and a commitment to producing clean, nutritious food while improving the land with every decision.
