Pasture-Raised Meats from Nebraska Family Farms
Beyond our grass-fed beef, we offer a variety of pasture-raised meats from trusted family farms across rural Nebraska. These animals are raised outdoors, on forage-rich land, without growth stimulants, routine antibiotics, or confinement systems.
Free-Range: Chicken, Turkey & Eggs
Our humanely raised, pastured chickens and turkeys forage naturally on healthy grassland, protected by floorless shelters that allow fresh air, movement, and access to insects and pasture plants. This reduces disease pressure and eliminates the need for antibiotics, pesticides, or medicated feeds. All processing is done by hand in our Nebraska-approved facility, then chilled or frozen for peak freshness.
"Real chicken flavor -- not like bland grocery store meat."
Why Choose Pawnee Pride Free Range, Pastured Poultry?
Pastured birds enjoy natural movement, diverse forage, and clean outdoor environments -- supporting better animal welfare and clean, flavorful meat.
Feedback and Cooking Tips:
Our free-range, pasture raised chickens are:
- Because the birds run freely, they're able to develop a more substantial, farm-raised texture
- More flavor than grocery chicken
- Smaller birds, more natural growth
Free-Range chicken cooking notes:
- Slightly longer cooking time
- More forgiving if cooked properly
Our free-range eggs offer:
- Deep orange yolks
- Higher omega-3s (generally)
- More flavor
Egg cooking notes:
- For the best flavor and texture, allow eggs to come closer to room temperature before cooking by setting them out for 20–30 minutes or placing them in warm water briefly.
- Cook eggs over lower heat to achieve a softer, more tender texture. Because farm-fresh eggs are naturally richer, gentle cooking helps preserve their flavor and prevents them from becoming dry or rubbery.
Current Pricing:

- Whole pastured turkeys (16–18 lbs) – $5.75/lb

Pasture-Raised, Heritage Pork
Our pastured pork comes from hogs that are raised on pasture with access to forage, clean water, mixed grains, and space to root and play. No antibiotics, growth promoters, or pesticides are used. We favor hardy heritage breeds known for exceptional flavor and better marbling.
