Introduction

Pawnee Pride Meats (“Pawnee Pride,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) sells pasture-raised meats and related food products. By purchasing products from Pawnee Pride, using our services, or visiting our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not place an order or use our services.

Products, Descriptions & Pricing

We make reasonable efforts to describe our products accurately. However, product descriptions, weights, pricing, and availability are subject to change. Natural variation in weight and appearance is normal for farm-raised products.

Food Safety & Customer Responsibility

Pawnee Pride follows industry-standard practices for production and processing. Once a product is transferred to you (via pickup, farmers market sale, delivery, or shipment), responsibility for safe transport, storage, and preparation transfers to you.

Customer responsibilities

  • Immediately refrigerate (below 40°F / 4°C) or freeze products upon receipt.
  • Maintain proper temperature control during transport and storage.
  • Follow USDA and local guidelines for safe handling, thawing, and cooking.
  • Cook meats to recommended internal temperatures and avoid cross-contamination.

Pawnee Pride is not responsible for spoilage, contamination, or foodborne illness resulting from improper handling, extended unrefrigerated storage (for example, leaving products in a warm vehicle), tampering, or misuse after purchase. If packaging appears damaged or thawed on receipt, do not consume the product and contact us immediately.

Farmers Markets, Pickups & Direct Sales

For in-person transactions (farmers markets, on-site pickup), custody transfers at the time of handoff. Pawnee Pride cannot control how items are transported or stored by customers after handoff. Refunds or replacements for spoilage occurring after handoff are not provided except at our discretion or where required by law.

Shipping & Delivery

If we ship products, we will pack items with insulation and cold packs when feasible. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee products will remain fully frozen during transit. Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery to the provided address or carrier handoff. Pawnee Pride is not responsible for carrier delays, packages left unattended, theft, or incorrect delivery addresses entered by customers.

Refunds & Replacements

Because our products are perishable, all sales are final unless otherwise required by law. Exceptions may be made if an incorrect product is provided or there is a safety/quality concern at the time of pickup or delivery.

How to request a review

  1. Contact us immediately at pawneepridemeats@gmail.com.
  2. Provide your name, order or purchase date, description of the issue, and photos when possible.
  3. We may request the product, photos, or additional information to evaluate the claim.

Decisions about refunds, replacements, or credits are made by Pawnee Pride at our discretion, except where consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawnee Pride, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, nor for any illness, injury, loss, or claim arising from:

  • Improper handling, storage, or preparation after sale;
  • Failure to follow safe-handling or cooking guidelines;
  • Tampering, alteration, or misuse of products after transfer;
  • Allergic reactions or sensitivities.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question. Certain jurisdictions may not permit limitations on liability; if so, those limitations may not apply.

Website Use & Conduct

When using our website you agree not to misuse it, attempt to compromise its security, or infringe on our intellectual property. All website content is owned by Pawnee Pride unless otherwise noted.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to choice-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be subject to the appropriate courts of Nebraska, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services or website after publishing constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date above indicates when these Terms were last updated.
